Picked up a set of titanium scales from Meton Boss and slapped them on my Locksmith tonight.

Added the tweezers from one of my Garant models. They feel great!!

I don’t know. There is a difference but not sure exactly how much. I’ll weigh it tomorrow.

Thanks!

My only wish is they were also made drilled out for use of threaded pivots.

Doesn't matter since his wallet is a lot lighter now :P

Beautiful scales! I've been looking at those (in 91mm) for a while but they're not exactly cheap

According to Google, the Locksmith weighs in at 5.7 oz.

My scale says, with the Meton Boss scales installed, 7.4 oz.   About the same as a classic Buck 110.

It’s a bit of a chunk in my pocket. Really needs a pocket clip.

Not sure how tough titanium is to drill. Anyone ??

I might move the scales to another Vic. Maybe my Centurion or Soldier. Maybe even my Sentinel.

So the scales appear to weigh in at 1.7 oz.

Don't forget to subtract the weight of the plastic scales!! - As that would be included in the Vic weight!   :tu:

It will be tough but not impossible to drill, just make sure the bit is good quality and new - titanium is tough on tools which is one of the reasons kit made out of it tends to be expensive (bit like stainless steel for that matter). I’ve used cobalts on bike bits in the past to good effect. Let us know how you get on! :tu:
