Also, they're one of the forms for a number of knife brands.

Looks like a Wenger style scissors...the action method on Wengers is great, so I wonder how these do.

Yeah, I would say that Sanrenmu, Land, and that entire genre (they are probably all the same maker) make excellent knives for the money.  This Land 912 (formerly) at US$21.50 on Amazon compares well against a small Sebenza costing an eye-watering $450.

Yup, I still have a bunch of the 710 model I bought almost a decade ago for peanuts. My go to knife for the workshop, cutting cardboard, plastic, ... Still going strong with no bladeplay whatsoever. They do make a solid knife for a fraction of the price.

The ones in the OP look cool, and I do wonder how the scissors perform, but I know I wouldn't carry it over any of my SAKs so I'm not very keen on pulling the trigger on these.

If someone got them, I'd be interested how the scissors are.

The scissors are identical to the Sanrenmu-made Boker Tech Tools. So, about average performance I'd say.
