A Kickstarter project that might be of interest :dunno:

I did buy an item from one of their (StatGear) earlier campaigns (SuperVizor) and it's pretty good, I have no affiliation or anything so just posting FYI.

Not really of interest to me as I prefer the manager or rambler, plus the international postage of US$14 makes it more expensive than the actual SAK  :ahhh

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/34951038/the-swisslinq-keychain-case-for-the-victorinox-sd-classic?ref=discovery_category_newest

From their post:

Ever try to use your small Swiss Army Knife while attached to the other keys on your keyring?

The patent-pending SwissLinQ allows you to dock your Swiss Army pocket knife on your keyring with a quick detachment method to allow you to use your tool without your keys getting in the way making one of the greatest EDC tools even better!

Anyway, as a say, might be of interest

Pretty cool, would probably commit if they were making one for a Rambler/Manager.

Very interesting and not badly priced. Maybe worth a try.

Well this is an answer to a terribly common gripe about the Classic   :like:

I want one for my XAVT.

Is it actually allowed to use the term Swiss in a brand name even though the product is not Swiss at all? I know Swiss Made is a protected term.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

A Nite Ize S-biner works for me, for any SAK with a key ring, and appears to be more secure?   :pok:

The Classic does not appear to click into place with authority, judging by that video, to withstand regular keychain rigors?  :dunno:

:dunno: Interesting point Reinier, they've been selling the SwissQlip for some time, presumably without a problem  :tu:

XAVT  now that’s some keychain carry!

I use something similar to the S-Biner Brock, a TEC Accessories Python Clip, with ring end permanently attached to the keychain (as opposed to the SAK), so the SAK can easily be unclipped.
You'd have to think (and hope) they've stress tested the clip click enough to feel confident your SAK couldn't easily be lost  :dunno:

Anyway it's always good to see a bit of innovation and new SAK accessories, be interesting to see what Tortoise Gear come up with next after FireFly & FireAnt

For what it's worth, I have Clip and Carry's sheath for my Leatherman Wave, and it is a well made product that works great. I did have to clean up some of the edges, but functionally it was great out of the box.

If the quality is similar on this, I bet it'll be awesome!

Nice idea.  I prefer the leather key chain sheath ( sorry no pic ) for the classic as it protects the scales.  I fit a Manger in mine.  The leather also takes on a nice patina.  Like I said its a neat idea and a welcome one.  Its great to see accessories for our beloved SAKs.

I went to Micheal's and bought a scrap of leather and some lining thread and made my own keyring sheath. Its a simple pouch deep enough that it swallows the whole classic up to the key ring that I use as the pull tab to pull out from sheath and then just use it. That way, theres nothing attached to the knife to get in the way. The leather has darkened over the years to a mahogany shade of brown. The whole classic is protected that way.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

This new idea kinda reminded me a keychain case I got from Victorinox long ago for Classic.  I did remember no one back then wants them, so it was something pretty cheap, like 5-6 bucks:
