... I'm curious, do you think you could make a picture of the lock problem maybe?

Then just use the heck out of it and see what happens if anything.  Enjoy.

The problem seems to be the blade lock is not properly secure. When knife blade is open in locked position the blade may close at times when spine of blade is tapped.

However for my own use it won’t really be a problem as the knife blade is not what I use most, nor that heavily that it might close on me. But yes the lock does not lock securely enough for a locked blade.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot Dexter.

I was curious to find out if it's the blade tang or the lock-slider part that's causing the problem.
Is it something that can be seen easily when a Victorinox warrantee technician inspects the tool?

Maybe this problem is more widespread than we realize?  :dunno:

But hey, this is the wrong thread to ask maybe  :hatsoff:

I think it would be difficult to take a photo of as it is an internal lock issue. But I have had a look at my other spirit and it doesn’t have this issue. Maybe it’s only new tools. When you hold the blade the lock seems fine but if you tap on the spine it disengages the lock at times. Maybe spring tension is not correct or the tang is a bit over machined...  not sure. But ok for my general use. If it gets worse then warranty claim it will be I suppose.

Edi, If you are referring to people here you are out of line.  We don't insult each other on this forum. You need to take a look at your behavior and words and how people will take them when you post.

:iagree: if it a YouTube video you are referring to then you need to address the people there and leave MTO out of it :salute:

Great GAW either way and congrats to Dexter  :tu: :like:

Congrats Dexter!

I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.
