Is my Strongarm a fake?

Kind of sad about this.
The paperwork has so many typos, it makes me think my Strongarm is fake.
If it is fake, they did a great job with the knife, so why could they not just photocopy a piece of paper? :think:

I asked Gerber Customer Service, we'll see what they say.
Does anyone have a Strongarm? Was the paperwork like mine?




The molle tab loop was broken, so I told the seller. Not too optimistic about either issue.

Glad eBay was able to get you a refund.

Along those lines some companies will actually send you a real one or at least voucher for money spent, if you contact them about receiving a counterfeit.  I have had that happen twice.  When I contacted the company to inquire if it was, they sent me mailing label to send them the counterfeit and information on where purchased.  After receiving the counterfeit, the companies sent me replacement directly from them.  It helps them build a legal case against counterfeiters.

Good info Sos.  I'd imagine the info collected is valuable for their customers in identifying fakes as well.  It could help the company also mark or make identifying marks to denote real vs fake.   :dunno:

Fiskars Customer Service confirmed it is fake. I reported the item in ebay. I doubt it'll make a difference. They always ignore reports of counterfeits.
