My Great Aunt has Passed on..
on: January 16, 2009, 12:23:05 AM
To start off, my Great Aunt was 94 years old. She was as smart as a tack; she could literally tell you a story from 85 years ago no problem! As of September she went to rehabilitation.. Then she needed a pace maker put it.. Then before Christmas she had a heart attack. After that, she went back to the nursing home. She was just starting to get better again, and she couldn't breath during the night. She was taken to a later hospital and died at 10 am today..  :(

Sorry to hear that mate. You have my condolences.

94 is what we Brits would call "a good innings", I hope I make it that far!

I used to come here a lot.

I'm sorry for your loss. But I'm a firm believer that there's more than just our lives here on Earth. She's out of pain and happy now. You will see her again. 94 years years old is quite an achievement. She must have been a tough ole bird. Prayers being sent for your family.  :(

Thanks guys, I really appreciate all your condolences. Yeah, she was extremely tough. I forgot to mention that while in rehab she fractured her hip,,

Sorry to hear that buddy , it sounds like she had a tough time of it lately . I work in a Veterans hospital & it amazes me what people 80 and older have gone through & the stories they can tell.I think in the future people will not be as tough or mentally/physically healthy as today's 90 year olds  :(
