I tried opening a package with my keys, as people apparently do. It occurs to me that other people must have much sharper keys than I have.

Anyway, the package contained a cool Victorinox Rambler I can't really use for another couple of weeks.

I like that there are finally a few different colours of toothpick and tweezers. I've never been desperate for blue scale tools, but I like them.

Oh well. At least I can look at it.

That’s a beautiful Rambler!

There's some buyer's remorse going on, but it is very nice. Metonboss makes nice things.

Sorry to hear about the buyers remorse.  Although, you are correct about the Metonboss making nice things.

Don't worry. It's "I didn't need this" remorse, rather than "I'm destitute after buying this" remorse. I suspect it won't take much pocket time to get over it.

I know people get all excited about the inline Phillips driver, but the magnifying glass is the real hero.

Sounds like an Explorer might need to be in her future.
Agreed, because it sounds like she already is one!

You are probably right.  I have a pair of 91mm plus scales and love them.

Day 17
The YeoCho scissors cut some tape and trimmed some of Fisher’s paw hair.  The MagGlass helped me read and expiration date.

Thanks to the power of suggestion, ended the day with pizza and a beer.

Well, apart from starting a new journal...

On the one hand, this will be impossible to read.
On the other hand, it was entirely meaningless drivel anyway!

...I didn't have a very productive day.

I used a pencil, and a Kobo, but not at the same time. Neither of those has a blade.

I didn't need utensils for my hamburger, which also did not have any blades.

French fries can look a little like tiny blades, I guess, but they don't hold a good edge.

Hello day 18.
A bit late. A very boring day with not much tool action.
Mostly pc work which is sad.

Yesterday, it was 10°C, sunny, and calm. Today it was 0°C, snowing, and windy. I went for a ride anyway, not realizing how mucky the roads were, or how dirty the bicycle and I would get.

Since my fingerless gloves weren't up to the task, I cut it a little short. It's probably okay that none of my neighbours were out to see me trundling back with a giant skunk stripe up my whole back, and even more mud in my bicycle's nethers.

It was time for a shower! Sort of. It was time to see how easy it would be to stick the bike in the shower. Pretty easy, it turns out; between modern compact road geometry, and my ludicrously small 52cm frame, I could maneuver it into a leaning position in the tub. This gave me an easy-to-clean place to spray down the bike thoroughly with a water bottle. Then, after a quick towel-down, the road bike went back to it's place in the hall, and I finally took care of my own disgusting self.

I know it seems weird, because a bicycle can absolutely handle being dirty, but I've only had it for two weeks; the honeymoon phase isn't over yet.

That was a really long way of explaining that this is the only tool I used today:

A wide-nozzled bottle from my favourite LBS!

Oh, and a toothpick with a thin rag dug mud out from around the seatpost clamp.

And my nachos were kind of sharp. I hope that's okay.

Today Rebar and tools, just today noticed that LM bits fits to Vic wrenches so that those wiggle less than on LM extender.
