Old Gerber Multi-Plier
on: March 17, 2009, 12:58:00 AM
Got locked out of the house this evening and had to dig out the old Gerber in the glovebox to break back in.  I got it around '94-95.  No lock on it... just plain simple and clean.

However, after I got done, I realized it could use a new sheath... do current Multiplier 600 sheaths fit these old babies?

The new ones are slightly larger (due to the slightly larger tool) but yes the multiplier will fit in an MP600 case :) Possibly not visa versa though (don't have mine with me to check :-\ )

Thanks for the info and MANY thanks for the kind offer of the sheath.  Of course I'll send you a PM (already did, in fact)!

I'll throw some pictures up of this old girl in the next couple of days...

How did you use it to get in your house?

I hope you also had gloves in that glove box.  Those original Gerber tools were murder on the hands if you slipped off of what you working on with the pliers.

Popped a screen on a window I knew wasn't latched.  Nothing fancy. :D
