This is not a good path. It's sad to see a great company in decline.
Change doesn't have to be a sign of decline. It might be. It might not be. I started to download the .pdf you left reference to in the SAK changes board. I got a third-party site I didn't recognize and decided not to risk it. I had one of those 84mm type knives ages ago. Pocket pal, maybe? I don't remember. At the time I didn't like it. Actually, I didn't much like any of the SAKs. They were well made, but they didn't suit me then. Then I found myself without a pocketknife, and remembered I had a SAK that I never had used. That changed things. Best wishes. G
Thanks for the information about the .pdf document, friend Gio. That should be helpful for members wanting to figure out things about their SAKs. I may revisit the site since my internet is functioning again. Best wishes. Gary (IMR)
Unfortunately it's simple economics; the lines that aren't producing income have to go. We all love them, but they're not making enough to support the lines of production. Vic is also facing a paradigm shift in whose carrying what - a lot of the current generation weren't brought up to carry a pocket knife, so they're taking an ever growing hit on that side as well (hence the diversification into kitchen tools and luggage).
