 Thank ya Barry! I have one other 111 but will save it for next week. It has the backwards liner lock that I can not get used to and I have a fondness for the sidelock. Wish they hadn’t discontinued it.

Once I realized the logic behind the backward liner lock - that it is the same liner as the screwdriver - since the SD is along the side because it's buddy the can opener has to be - so the knife has to be on the left of the liner... I suddenly became perfectly fine with it. 

After the 111mm challenge last month, I don't even have to think about how to unlock the blade.  I do it with two hands, but it's as simple as tying my shoes.

I started out with the liner lock, and eradicated a couple slide locks later.  I have to say, I like that slide lock!

Well, lucky for me, I must have intuitively knew it was the right day to seek out my Ranger and stick it in my pocket with its little cousins. After not having carried it for a couple days, I took it along. I showed it to somebody but I didn't use it today.  8)

Barry that knife is still available today,I believe.I bought this about 5 years ago.

I called the rep for Garant tools here in the US. I ordered directly from them.I posted about this many years ago.

Start a new thread and post a photo daily of any SAK 74mm or smaller ( you can switch it up daily ) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Build your own version of an MRE using off-the-shelf components, post a photo of the completed MRE and store at room temperature for 6 days or more. Consume the MRE after the storage period and post pictures and descriptions of the contents. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for thirty (30) consecutive days. For each of the 30 days, or for as many as you are able to, post a picture of: Progress- Meals- Activities- Gear and participate in the thread and encourage each other. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of an Old Cross SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Spyderco knife for thirty (30) consecutive days.
