My favorite flask: a Ghurka.

My apologies if this topic has already been covered.

Nice! I have a bit of a titanium problem, so here’s my titanium flask (I’ve had it for 16 years now - how time flies!) with 2 of my Ti scaled mods.

Is there a 12 step for the big T yet? 😀

I have not reached a crisis, where my family is suffering, but....

Echotech,

👍 on both.

I have had a yearning for your OHO with the serration. What is the proper model name for it in that color? Thanks in advance.

Thanks ST :tu:
It’s a model 2008 Soldier, funny as it gets a little overlooked but is a superb SAK

Do you get much good out of the front half of blade being serrated?

Truth is I tend to use my outrider the most out of my 111’s and prefer the straight blade for everyday use, but reckon the serrated is great for outdoor stuff in the garden etc. Especially for cutting cord, breaking down boxes, trimming bushes etc but not as useful for slicing jobs
The trekker is the civilian version and has a straight blade or the forester but with corkscrew instead of back side philips.
Depending on your needs the soldier is a top SAK though and you get the green and black scales

Thx. Good run down.

Got my son a Workchamp so he would never be without a file. I like files. But I have one on my CT-L , so your big green, half-serrated soldier has significant appeal as a combo.

Tool weight/length of big SAKs never concerns me. I’m not a Tom Ford suit guy. 😀

I have one of those for ages but don't think I've ever used it. It came as a gift with a perfume or deodorant or the like.

Do you use yours regularly? If so, where and when?

Just picked it up. Because it’s stamped  English Pewter, I have not used it. Pewter is not good for brain function. And I am not so far confident it is stainless steel. Interesting that it came as a gift. Mine looks pretty old. But I am easily fooled by such things. I carry a flask with brandy on cold mornings when working around the place. I used to take one fishing/crabbing on cold mornings, too. Keep it in my pack in the trunk if driving. Never nip in afternoons or evenings. Just early mornings, when I won’t be driving anywhere. It’s just arterial antifreeze for me. I get to engage in these sorts of behaviors in retirement, when nothing is riding on performance.   😀
