Day 17

Another day, another dull work related photo. I'll see if I can be a bit more creative again tomorrow...

Day 17 out of 30.

BiC Velocity 1.6 checks out a fairly unusual TacX Harley Davidson knife.

Day 18:30

Having an early start (or is it working late!?!?) on  paperwork, I brought out the Cross and the Zebra; as usual, the Zebra is for the Clinic.

Day 19:30

More progress notes and yearly reports to fill, new treatment plans to be made (still manually) and to-do lists to be made so, Lamy and Fisher are called in.

I'm thinking about getting myself one of those "planners" that Michael has, for when this semester is over! :ahhh

Jim, excuse my ignorance but, is the red one in the 2nd picture the mini!?!?; looks like a really versatile, compact tool to have, and the blue ink color is pretty good too! :like:

Yep, the red one is a Mini Champ. Those Victorinox pens are very hardy. I'm as impressed with their pens as I am with just about any other feature of their knives.

Do you know if it uses the same pen refill as the plus models, albeit without the plastic stop/knob/nail pick?

Day 19

Back in the office again today, so here's an earlier scene including my morning brew and the remnants of a bacon and sausage butty (brown sauce, if you're wondering).

It's a different type of pen - there's a specific one for 58mm models to fit the mechanism.

I didn't get chance to add this link earlier, it shows you the pen type for 58mm.  :tu:

Day 20:
MacGyver re-boot day:

Since I’m not sold on the re-boot I’m breaking my habit of only carrying/using trad. red scaled SAKs on Mac Day. Should the new series grow on me, I’ll go back to my old ways

Day 20

Another one for Juan... The Good Beer Guide posted the other day is produced each by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, of which I'm a member. Basically it highlights the best pubs in the country for drinking cask beer. CAMRA celebrated their 5th anniversary earlier this week and this weekend is usually when their annual Great British Beer Festival is held. Last year was cancelled completely, this year it's gone online. So I bought a box of pale ales and IPAs and right now I'm catching up on the tasting session for said box. The next couple of hours are going to be spent being a proper beer geek... Pen and notebook are out ready to take notes as and when required. Providing I can still write reasonably legibly later on...

Oooh, Mike, you're making me start saving money to renew my passport and get a ticket to the UK!

We have some local beer tasting activities, and the closest to a festival is Oktoberfest (yes, like in Deutschland!)

And I'm sure that after a couple of those IPA's your writing will be more efficient, as you'll probably be seeing two pens, two notebooks and two writing hands thus thinking you'll be twice the note taker!

Seriously now, enjoy your weekend and tasting venture; here's to hoping to being able to be back with friends on our favorite "watering holes". Cheers!
  :tu:
