Help Identifying Unmarked Leatherman
on: February 28, 2021, 01:12:33 AM
Hello.
My father passed away and I inherited this unmarked Leatherman and I wanted to know more about it. It has absolutely no markings whatsoever (besides the ruler on both outer edges and the saw). There is no sign any markings were filed off. All is smoothe.
Thank you for your help and I can take further pictures if needed.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Condolences on losing your father     What you have isn't a Leatherman but a copy. There are many copies out there under different names and no names like yours.

Nice that you have it to remember your dad !   :salute:

Welcome to MTO. I agree that your example is not made by Leatherman Tools.  Don't feel bad about that.  Plenty of no name tools have been handed out by various companies as customer rewards and have occupied a place of honor in somebody's kitchen drawer or desk drawer and some people would never have had a multitool if they hadn't been free.  I hope you find this tool intriguing enough to investigate the hobby further.  There's a lot out there.

By the way, that is not a saw, it is a fish scaler and hook disgorger.  I've never used that tool on a fish, but I have found them useful for spearing olives in a jar.
