Carbide replacement cutter source?

They’re super expensive everywhere I’ve looked... more than I paid for the whole mp600. :/

Charles.

Maybe these will help,

Might not be as cheap, but they appear to be more durable. At the end of the thread, there's a picture from another forumer with them installed in a CD.

Those are cheaper than the carbide cutters I was looking at. They're out of stock though :/

Charles.

The littlemachineshop has HSS cutters that fit the MP 600 and work great. Like them much better than the factory carbide cutters.

There you go, mate.

I actually found them after your post, but there are a variety of models... thanks for helping narrow it down!

That “another forumer” would be me. I’m very happy with the HSS replacement cutters.

Thanks for the info, the price for the original replacement ones is way to high for the quality they are. Will give these a shot  :tu:

Ordered different ones, as these were out of stock again. They should arrive by the end of the week. Supposedly they are high grade carbide cutters rated for steel, stainless steel, and TI. Will see how they do once they show up

FYI, the cutters at Littlemachineshop are back in stock. I ordered some already  :tu: Hopefully these will work. The other ones I was talking about did unfortunately not. The angles did not work as a cutter in the MP frame  :-[

The cutters from littlemachineshop came in. They fit perfectly:

Quick test on a coat hanger was handled without issue and without a scratch  :tu:

Thank you for the info. and picture, SirVicaLot. Good to know that there's a pair of cutters that won't chip as easily as the OE ones.  :tu:
