Day 17 ( bonus reenactment shot ):

Earlier in the day, the Esquire did nimble work cutting lenghts of twine with which to tie up wayward pea plants. The peas are admirable for their exploratory nature, but as domesticated garden plants they require supervision and guidance.  I didn't have my phone with me when the actual cutting took place. However,  with no degree of effort spared, the production crew was able to stage a reproduction of the critical action.

Dramatization.
While the actual historic string and knife were used in this recreation,
this is only a reenactment of historic events. No animals or pea plants
were harmed during the making of this photograph.

I know what you mean about peas - I stick to dwarf varieties so no string needed, but you do have to pick some of them up from the ground and rest them against sticks until they “find” a grip!

Day 18
Conference calls today so not much use for the Orange Alox. It was temporarily AWOL yesterday as it escaped my tracksuit pocket. Wife said “…you know you left your little knife on the sofa…”  I think I know why most people keep their 58s on a keyring.

Today’s HP is the 71B. This a launch year sample from 1984. Uses a very powerful version of BASIC but was expensive in its day and ditched RPN for algebraic expressions. One of the Holy Grail calculators for many collectors.  :tu:

DAY 18  We're getting ready to move, so I used the MiniChamp to free a tape gun so I can wrap up other stuff.  Then used the screwdriver on it as well.

Day 18

Absolutely no uses whatsoever today. Early finish from work to go and watch Salford Rugby League lose at Huddersfield, so it's a "glamour" shot.

Day 18.
Been contemplating the Go Big challenge, next month.  Didn't want to use the Super Timer then I remembered this one, that my youngest daughter's boyfriend gave me, for Christmas a couple years back.
I'm guessing that he did because he got her pregnant, IDK, but I'm not one to turn down a knife.🙄

Figured it was at least time to get it out.   I'm guessing that it's a Tool Chest.  10 layers and bigger than the Super Timer.

My trusty MiniChamp did fine work on cutting the paracord for a lanyard.

Addicted to sharp pointy things.

DAY 18

The Esquire is a package opening son-of-a-gun. My temp controller shorted out a couple of weeks back and I could not repair the surface mounted electronics. This is a serious problem for a competition BBQ guy. So I found a used replacement on another forum.
