Information coming from Retailers, Victorinox is stopping the Rancher.
Probably true as it's becoming rarer rarer.

Yes, I heard that rumbling too. Hopefully it's not true.
The Rancher is one of my favorites to use.
I need a small blade a lot more than the can opener from the Soldier / Pioneer.

 I think it's not discontinued. It would be a shame anyway as there are only 3 models in 74mm range...

But Rancher Alox (not Ranger be careful) it's 99% sure.
Like Expedition Lite which was discontinued in September 2020.

Others that are threatened and I heard about :

Midnite Manager
Traveller
Traveller Lite
Spartan Lite
XAVT

But for those it's not really sure, just rumors.

For Traveller (and Traveller Lite) though I think it's not crazy, very expensive for not much... Don't think it's a best seller.

My local dealer is pretty big in the region, and did confirm me XAVT is discontinued.  Sad to hear about the Rancher, and 58mm too?  :cry:

I found it at 395 euro here in Europe..
I have eyeballed it for some time.
It's just alot to throw at a knife there gonna be a shelf queen :whistle:

All 74mm have been discontinued... made a post about it months back when it was happening. RIP Executive...

I'm concerned about the 65mm models as well. Both the "Executive 81" and "Wenger" models have been out of stock for quite a while on the Victorinox Canadian site.

Been unavailable or removed entirely from some Victorinox websites for a while. Apparently it was confirmed by someone who contacted Victorinox as per the threads below:

It's still available in Europe without any difficulties.

I'm wondering if it's just while they still have supplies. Market-specific production is pretty rare and I believe only for limited editions.  :think:

For both. I checked Victorinox it's available everywhere in Europe.  :dunno:

I recently went to the Victorinox factory store and asked about it. The 74mm are in stock and they do not know anything about discontinued.

Thanks Sneider, it's what I thought. It's nonesense this discontinuation rumor, at least for Europe. I think it's still quite popular.
I checked the Vic website for US & Canada though & the Executive is unavailable (didn't check out the others).

Btw if you go back one day and can ask about Traveller, Traveller Lite, XAVT and stuff like that.

The information you get in the factory shop doesn't reflect much more than the current situation. Victorinox does not really communicate changes to the range. At the moment the 74mm, Traveler, Traveler Lite and XAVT are normally available here.

There is a poster (on Reddit) in the linked thread that says they received confirmation from Victorinox regarding the 74mm line being discontinued.

It's the internet, so who knows, but the availability and (recent pricing when you can find them), at least in Canada/US, seems to support this. I don't think it's likely that Victorinox decided to make the 74mm market-specific.  :think:

Well, you seem better informed than me. But here in Switzerland it doesn't look like the 74mm models will be discontinued yet.
