What I know so far is there will be three different setups to choose initially. Also, the geometry of the inserts will be open source. In other words he wants to encourage ppl to come up with their own inserts.

And then US$ 40 freight to Europe.. I'm not sure my curiosity and willingness to support takes me quite that far. It seems the freight company will receive most of the support.

I don't think the prototype is the final thing, prototypes rarely are, but time and money can help work out lots of initial kinks.

I've added my pledge for a BO model yesterday. I am a bit sceptical about the 'half tangs' (as I wrote in that other thread a while ago) but I'm willing to try one out - it's been a while since anything new and potentially revolutionary (?) has appeared. If nothing else it has some novelty appeal.

@Jothra, I think the 'fix' was an attempt at a light hearted pun, not to be taken too seriously nor meant to offend.

Ah, ok, got it now. When people say FTFY, usually it's meant as a joke. When the first statement was correct and then you change it to some other meaning, and then say you fixed it, implying the first idea was wrong and now it's right.

In this case, it was a wordplay with goal and goat, due to the similarity. Hence the  8) 8) in the end, to show it was not really a correction on a "wrong" statement.


I'll be leaving to the Naughty Step now, sorry.
