OK, so the camo badge appears to be a relic from when such scales were much less common than they are now. I consider this mystery solved to my satisfaction.  :cheers:

I’m an old man and just enjoy talking about knives, SAKs in particular but I have no need for badges.

Same here, except for the old man bit (which is relative anyway!). SAKs are just one of my interests. I don't feel any less involved with the forum by not collecting badges or taking part in challenges. I'd never have time for the latter anyway!

Personally I don’t see the preoccupation with being awarded “badges”. I’m an old man and just enjoy talking about knives, SAKs in particular but I have no need for badges.
