Surge Scraper
on: August 31, 2021, 09:01:57 PM
I really find a scraper helpful at times, and like the type on the swisstool. I thought of putting a bevel on the large screwdriver but like to use that as a pry bar. The only thing I can think of is to take a spare saw or file and cut it down and put an edge on it. Do any of you have ideas you could share?

That seems like a very good extra use for the serrated blade, Antti :salute: :like:

Thank you both. I’ve been a lurker here for years. I do like what you’ve done there.

How about trimming a flat bit, or the file?

Good idea. I think I like the file better just because of the width.

Only thing bad about making a Surge/Wave or Charge file into a scraper is you will lose the nick on the end that you use to open it

On my old Surge I added another large flat driver so I could mod one like the Swiss tool chisel.

Interesting idea, would have to give up the can opener, I think it might be worth it. Good idea.

Could a scraper from a MUT fit anywhere?
Different (pointy) shape of course.
