Leatherman R2/R3 Flat Bits
on: April 23, 2021, 04:08:20 AM
Hey everybody, I'm just wondering if anyone knows where to get the Robertson R2/R3 flat bits that work with the surge? I used mine all the time for work and when I gave up my surge and got a new one the new one didn't come with a bit which leaves me back to using the old hex ones when I need it. I called Leatherman and they weren't able to help at all so I am scouring eBay trying to find them but all I can ever find is the R1/R2 bits. Any help would be hugely appreciated, I miss the convenience of being able to use the surge to quickly deal with screws, not having to put together the full show with the bit adapter and the hex bits.

Welcome to :MTO: LM96

I think Synco is in the right direction :salute:  It isn't a cheap way but unfortunately if you want to use the flat bits, it is either buy from them or make your own :dunno:

Hope you can find what you need :salute:

As a side note, it's great to see smaller numbers of replacement bits on Leatherman's website.
However, on the US site you get three bits for $5USD. On the Australian site you pay another 40% more and get only one bit.

They aren't on the NZ site but the price of other accessories there is staggering.

Yeah the R1/R2 bit is available on their website but not R2/R3 for some reason. Personally, id prefer if they had all their bits available for individual purchase... sort of annoying if you lose 1 and have to spend $15 to get the entire set again.
