I have been waiting for the "new" SF's since they were announced last spring. SF has had a change in plans... the UB2 Invictus is now the UB3 Invictus with 350 lumens, 11 settings ( OFF, SOS, 2 lumens, 5L, 10L, 25L, 50L, 100L, 200L, 350L, STROBE ), with a run time of 140 hours on 3 - CR123's. My favorite SF the Aviator is going 100% LED's with the new version the A2L. The AZ2 Combat Light is a high output spot beam and non slip combat grip 25 lumens and 120 lumens .  The M3L will also show up as a 350 lumens / 70 lumens Special Ops light . A V2L Vampire will be an LED with both white light and infrared and no external filters needed. LumaMax now comes in a 120 and a 80 lumen models and the popular T1A Titan  takes on an aluminium housing.

I don't think that's coming out anytime soon, heat sinking problem I heard.

The new L1X is 0.4" shorter than the Gen 3 and has a more complex body shape . (more flutes , less knurling )

It also uses the two way E1B style clip , an puts 80 lumens out the front end . This is probably conservative , as Surefire tends to under rate outputs ( in marked contradistinction to other makers ) .
