A Rebar mod
on: October 24, 2021, 06:14:37 PM
I decided to follow the lead of many others and try to make the awlsome Rebar even more awlsome. I removed the Phillips driver, the lanyard, and some washers in order to fit in a larger Surge bit holder (grinding required) and a pair of Multiforce scissors. I also replaced the awl and can opener with the Multiforce awl (previously modified) and the Multiforce can opener (which has a better wire stripping notch than the Rebar can opener). I also modified a couple of the straight drivers into a chisel and a package opener/scraper.

I chose to use Multiforce scissors because they are better than Wave scissors and because I had a pair I could use. However, they required a bit of grinding work on the plier head so that the Rebar could close properly:

Not ideal, but since I have committed to using the MT I decided to make it into one that would serve me well.
