I like this linda of nerdy off topics.

McStitchy,

The Daimler-Benz DB-605 engine of the Me-109 was the same of the Me-110 and Me-210
V-12, inverted. And with a distinctive sound.

Distinctive, but not like the Twin Íon Engine (TIE) of the Empire fighters...

Cannot argue with that  :D

The Daimler engine is quite a beast. But same goes for the Rolls-Royce Merlin (Spitfire or Mustang). There's something about it....  they just sound cool  :D

The first time I saw a Bf 109 (in a War Museum) I was struck by how small it was... and how huge the nearby Stuka was.
I struggle to love the Buchons.

Some other interesting sounding engines:

I still have a few remnants of my GSMRE left over.

Mrs Nix was out for lunch with a friend, so I dug out the Spam. Single....

The chopped Spam went into a skillet with some chopped onions and pepper. Once that had sizzled up nicely, I added an egg and some cheese.  Once it was all melted and cooked, it got served right in the skillet and topped with some Yellow Bird Serrano hot sauce.

Spork, of course.

The key here is to be patient and let that mess sizzle away and get a good deep crust....

T'was filling and good!   :2tu:

 :woohoo:

Hevy & Vitor did the longest (involuntary) testing of their GSMRE....without a spork!

I thought Vitor had earned another prize for his patience and participation.   :tu:

Yesterday, he brewed his first coffee!
(Thanks Nix, that coffee is great!)

Hevy, I've started carrying those little coffee bags instead of packets of instant. I think it tastes better.

I have to admit to feeling slightly awkward and self-conscious sending coffee to Brazil!

Thanks everyone.

Is impressive how Vitor is patient, for a kid.
I rewarded him a couple of weeks ago with some more Star Wars toys. Just because he's a great boy!

It's great for us participate from the challenges on MT.o together!

Nix, my wife loved that idea of those little coffee bags. Now I'm trying to find some for our trips (missing our trips to see the sea...) Is by far a best option to the instant coffee!
Vítor shared some coffee with me, and I must say that Folger's coffee is really great! It brought some memories from the coffee we had in our farm years ago.

I find it to be surprisingly nice to drink.

There must be some like that in Brazil!   :ahhh

Now I'm sorry I didn't include a few extra!
