I apologize in advance as I'm not exactly sure where to post this, but I'm hoping one of our European friends might be able to identify this for me.  It's from a friend of mine whose Father recently passed away from Covid.  He was from Germany, and emigrated to Montreal and into the US. He served in the US Marine Corps in the early 1960's.  His son, a life long friend, found this in his goods, and I don't recognize it.   It is marked Paris on the back.  I told him someone on our Forum might know.

He was thrilled!  His Dad had friends in the Legion Etrangere but he doesn't know the story behind how he came by a 1st Regiment pocket hanger and badge.  I love our Forum Aloha!!
