Got mine Saturday, great tool set,I have a minor quibble with the edge of the file sticking up a millimeter when using the pliers, same as on the rebar. Sheath is ok, it should fit in the older pulse and original wave sheaths just fine. Minor bummer no scissors but that's what the micra is for. Good tool, far better than the rev.

Glad you have yours  Good feedback as well :salute: :like:

It helps to lightly hit that sharp edge of the file with a sharpening stone or a diamond file to knock the sharpness down.

(Image removed from quote.)

That’ll get you some reach   :tu:

The UTA fits as well, plenty of options available.

Leatherman did a great job with this one. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this exited about a new LM. Proves the point that is doesn’t have to be super complicated :salute:

Those updates would be awesome, those are such great tools.  :gimme:

I'm wondering if everyone thinks the cut-out for the blade is worth it?  Does it compromise comfort?

It doesn't seem to add any discomfort to me, but I haven't used it a lot yet.

The cut-out is necessary to get the blade out though, the end of the tang sticks out a bit farther than on the other tools to get more tension. Having to pull it out with just a nail nick would be difficult. Now I wonder if the Rebar has the same design

The Rebar has the locking tabs which give a spot for the blade rests on  The cut out keeps the blade from going to far into the frame and prevents the edge from hitting against it :ahhh

I haven't noticed it making it uncomfortable either  :dunno: :D

Are we talking about the little square cutout that creates a rest for the Blond blade or the large handle cutout to accommodate opening with gloves on?

I went and checked, the blades on both Bond and Rebar have a little extra cam on the tang to make them a bit harder to open. Without that cutout and only a nail nick it would be much harder to get the knife out with the extra tension.

Got mine in today and overall I'm quite pleased with it. The only thing not so good is the way the blade easily partially opens. I think this is a serious safety issue that I'm surprised wasn't caught by LM. It would be easy to remedy with a little more left on the blade tang. I had to tighten up the pivot so that it wouldn't flop open.

If there ever is a safety recall on these...I am going to keep it and buy an improved one. Just saying. Still waiting for mine to arrive.

One thing to note that no one has mentioned is that the tool tapers from plier end t tool end by about 2.5mm when closed. Being wider at the plier end.

I never mentioned it because I didn't notice it

I guess I already tensioned the Bond while I was modding it and never notice the knife coming out like that either :ahhh

Yes, we are talking about the same thing :salute: Good point about the cut out for the nail nick as well :tu: I like that feature on the ST300 as well  :like:

Nice!  Looks like it’s supposed to be this way   :)
It probably sits fairly tight with the pocket clip attached?

On the American Leatherman site they show the Heritage PST sheath as an accessory. I wonder if that’s a mistake or if the Heritage version is slightly larger than the originals.

It slides in and out quite easily and is a perfect fit.

Only down side, the Pulse/Crunch old school black leather sheaths are extremely difficult to track down :dwts:

That said,  I do have one but I have a Pulse in it  :D

I had an extra but it's actually easier to get out of a Crunch sheath or the later Kick/Fuse sheath at t least with the pocket clip attached.
