Hadn%u2019t heard of the Bond until I saw a thread about it here, and decided to take a chance on it in spite of the blade issue so many are commenting on.  I really like the old school multi tools much better than the new tools.  I%u2019ve never wanted to have a multitool replace my pocket knife, and from the time I first heard about them, I%u2019ve thought of them as a small toolbox in a pocket.  I like my tool boxes to be made of good old fashioned steel with a lid that closes over my tools.  My Bond came in the mail today.  First impressions are good.  Nice lighter weight pocket tool with an array of basic (but most used tools).  I%u2019ve got a pocket clip ordered.  The blade issue everyone seems to be talking about in Bond is present on my example but to be honest It doesn%u2019t seem likely to lift up on its own with normal use (at least on my example).  I even bounced and shook it around trying to get it to lift up and out, but it stayed put.  I can lift it up and out a little without resistance with my finger, but it stays in the liner unless I manipulate it intentionally.  I could definitely see the Bond as being the answer to a twenty something year quest for a pocketable %u201Cfull-power%u201D multitool.  As for the sheaths, I like them both.  I%u2019ll probably keep it in the leather because it%u2019s a good match for a new rendition of an old tool, but if I were going to pick one for everyday use, I%u2019d probably go with the nylon for lower maintenance.

Congrats dmattaponi, good to hear you're liking it.  Is that the "heritage" sheath you bought separately?
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Thanks everyone.  I do like the Bond.  I’ll be trying it out as a new edc.

Yes, the sheath it is the small size Heritage sheath.  It’s nice.  I have one for my Squirt too.  I did buy it separately.  I might have bought the PST Heritage version had I seen it before I bought this  one, but I didn’t look first.  I just bought the one I was familiar with from my earlier experience.  They all seem to be the same price.

Also the Heritage sheath is the same size as the nylon that comes with the Bond.  They are both a little oversize.  They both work well though.

As we can’t get them here in Australia yet hoping a BO version might be coming to soften the wait

Just as long as they do not start painting them colours like the Signals...I should be good.

Still can't source a pocket clip for the bond in Canada.

I messaged Leatherman and they said they don't have a BO version in the pipeline but they would "pass it on to the product team" in other words, no.

I love BO so much, the few tools I have that aren't BO were gifted to me or are literally impossible to get in BO

Decided to join the club! Also, here's an action shot of holding some raspberry canes aside while we forage for berries.

Carried the Bond in my pocket most of the week and I must say I hardly feel it's there. A worthy successor to the PST in my opinion.
Cheers!

Cool pics.  The Bond looks downright petite next to the Supertool.
