I just cannot bond with the Bond  :dunno:

I think I'll be putting mine up for sale soon in the B&S

Sorry I'm late to the party, but why don't you like it?

I didn't like the way the knife blade pops up above the handle, very unsafe IMO. I also didn't like the action on the tools when closing. Just not for me, I'll stick to my Rebar's

I’ve added the Bond to my collection (rebar, surge, blast, and original pst) and have been carrying it for a few months. So far I am very pleased. Contrary to some opinions on the non-locking blade, I have not had any problems. It actually takes more pressure to fold the blade back into the handle than my victorinox recruit.

Nice addition, OS :tu: congratulations  :woohoo: :like:

👍,   So dumb by LM not to include the clip!

They install one on the Curl and also include a sheath. So dumb.

En route...  Along with a 4" leather box sheath and clip kit :)

Very smart move, the holes in the handles drove me up the wall until I got a clip installed.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

It arrived earlier this week and I’m enjoying it so far. Clip kit I ordered was short a screw, but they’re sending another one out. Pairs nicely with the Executive.

Excellent combination.

They haven’t outlawed knives yet in Canada?

Just picked up my first Leatherman today - a Bond (UK, no fixed blades etc).  Out of the box I noticed the wire-cutters catch each time I close the pliers - I can feel the resistance and there’s a small mark on the wire-cutters where they catch (per the photo).  Is this normal or should I look to swap it out at the retailer?  Thanks in advance  :)

Welcome to :MTO:

If it bothers you then I would definitely swap it out :salute: it really shouldn't be like that and it made it past QC  if enough people send things back or swap them out for flaws as this, then maybe they will tighten the QC back to closer to what it use to be

Welcome to the forum Mountain.   :hatsoff:

Just to prove the fact that you can ask a simple question and get multiple opinions I think I'd be just fine with that.  :D  If it's touching without binding badly then I really don't think it's a problem.  Leatherman aim to make then as close as possible.  If, on the other hand, it's actually hard to close then yeah, contact your retailer.

I would be tempted to open and close them 20,000 times while watching a Teletubbies marathon.  That would probably smooth them out a little.

I have had same kind problems on my tools, one soltion is using file to smooth out that part where cutters catch ( need small preferably diamond file) or send it to retailer for tool swap.
