Well, support has ended November 2020, so this does not really come as a surprise. I say it is about time.

Edge is currently the best browser on the market. Doesn't make sense to have IE alive.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Until the end of this month the company I work for has relied in IE for Silverlight compatibility for some proprietary software we use, wouldn’t use it otherwise, had been a right royal PIA the last few years, thankfully the new system is now built. However been using IE for so many years I’m a touch nostalgic hearing this

I've been using Firefox exclusively (at least personally) since it was still named Phoenix. I think I remember installing Phoenix 0.4 in 2002 or so?

For work I use Chrome on my virtual desktop in Microsoft Azure. It's what we recommend our clients as well. But of course some of them still use Internet Explorer for some stupid reason. Probably because of one or two pieces of ancient software that rely on IE :(
Which basically means we need to keep our product compatible with that browser from the stone age.

They keep saying they will retire it, but I think it is tightly woven into the OS.

We have some apps and things at work that will only work through MSIE.

Personally I use chrome as much as possible, still contemplating switching to Vivaldi which seems to be a much better version of chrome (what chrome used to be like)

Barely touched firefox in ages.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

Likewise. Everything at work mostly revolves around Google and Chrome. Been forced to use Microsoft Teams for daily class lessons. What a  buggy  piece of  software that is! The more I use, the less I like, but it is what the School Board has directed us to use.

As for Edge, I will not use it considering Microsoft tried real hard to force you to use it whenever a clean install of the OS is needed.

Oh and on my Android phones I've almost always used Chrome. But this change has forced me to reconsider: https://piunikaweb.com/2021/05/27/want-to-disable-tab-groups-grid-view-in-chrome-on-android-heres-how-to-do-so/

It made me Switch to "Brave"

I disabled Brave's form of advertising all together (look it up if you don't know it) which made it a tracker/ad/google blocking browser that works just like the older Chrome.

For years and years, HTML and CSS coding involved just constant goofy kludges to make sure websites that worked in every other major browser also worked in IE. Oh man, the style sheet workarounds alone.

Trying Firefox Mobile again. The beta threw an error even before I started using it

A problem I had years ago was font sizes changing (seemingly) at random. Looks like that issue is still there.

Well, in order to submit documents online via electronic signature to our tax agency you have to use the IE. At least that was the case few years ago when I was last present while my accountant was submitting some documents. She said, and then showed to my shocked being, that trying to do it with any other browser just didn't work - you couldn't go past the authorization. I really hope and in the same time highly doubt that they will make some changes before the complete drop of that system causes huge problems for both businesses and government agencies.

Reminds me of Adobe flash player's automatic forced retirement catching a Chinese railroad company by surprise. Chaos ensued until they could find an older version to install. :)

I had Firefox on my phone but it started crashing, which could be due to the age of my phone, so I now use DuckDuckGo's browser.

I have used Firefox on PC for many years without any issues - what issues do others have with it?

Weird! But I'm happy now.
