Seek opinions pro and con on Puma Multitool

Saw an interesting looking multitool on EB called a Multitool by Pumatec (Model 313800). It has seemingly ergonomic curved plastic, tiny checkerboard scales on the handles the seller calls imitation carbon fiber. Kind of doubt that is the intention of Puma, but who knows? Like many designers at many firms, this designer just may have been enamored of Illuminati checkerboards.

Has anyone had a Pumatec multitool like this one?

Seems to have been made in Solingen.

I personally would steer clear. Looks to me like a generic design they have stuck their name on; and really jacked up the price. Boker has a few that are like this as well.
