And that’s the thing Steve. No one is saying this is the perfect tool for every job but it will get them done and done satisfactorily. It is a multi tool after all and it was quite usable. If I had nothing else it would’ve done fine.

Day 35 of 60:

Corkscrew got used to undo a tight knot. One of the reasons I dislike the Overhand knot: falls open when loose, jams when tight.

Nice work on the knot.

Y' awl are welcome. It'll be during duck and deer season then so should have plenty and a variety, probably even a few fresh squirrels! Let me know and I'll save some of the firewood cutting until then so you can use your saws

I've already used the corkscrew a couple of times for opening knots. It's great for that  :tu:

Day 36/60

I finally got a vanilla swisschamp for about 30 Euros. Almost like new - but full of crap because the last owner was a smoker. Cleaned it with the help of the XLTs toothpick.

Ordered some new scales. White, yellow and green. Still don't know which ones to put on.

Tradional Iisakki Järvenpää puukko from late eighties. An officer training course knife from miltary service. It was - still is I think - a common thing for classes/courses/special units to have these made.

To be fair Nix I’d have welcomed a pork pie. Smoked salmon was nice but a porked pie would’ve knocked it out of the park today, Lucky you Max! :like:
