Why not a Universal Scaler challenge?

Enviado de meu Moto Z2 Play usando o Tapatalk

So every knife with a scaler can take part? Sounds cool.

I thought he meant that you could use only the universal scaler for the challenge.   :dunno:

Patience grasshopper, sometimes it takes a minute for us mods to see that a badge has been requested. We don't get an automatic notification when a badge has been requested. We check now and then and award them as we see them.

I am 9 days into the Delemont challenge and I can say without a doubt the swisschamp for 60 days was not half as challenging as this. It's probably compounded by the lack of a universal scaler on my available models! I'll keep with it, maybe by the end of the month I'll feel different about the wengamont knives

They're such handy tools Tony!  I wish I would have started out with one.  I think if I had, it would be the only one..

And that's the problem Barry. I've been trying to content myself carrying different things. Huntsman, Spartan and Syph mods you know sort of thing.

All great. All fun. All up the task.

And you know what?

I end up thinking "It's not my SwissChamp..."

Exactly my friend :iagree:. I haven't had mine on my belt in a few days since I started the Delemont Challenge, but I'm tempted to throw it on for a backup.  I miss it😊

I have been keeping one in my truck and one on the kitchen table, just in case the Delemont needs assistance.

It's good, but it's no CT41.  Sorry.  I'll show myself to the door. :pommel:

Incidentally, you can help a paper shredder not to jam by occasionally running a sheet of paper soaked in mineral oil through it.  The mineral oil will clean and lubricate the cutters and won't accumulate or get gummy.  If you use your shredder often you should do this at least once a month and you'll see a big difference.

Thanks for the paper shredder cleaning tips. I have some special sheets you feed through and those lubricate the cutters.

The jamming was caused by the minor oversight of forgetting to dump out the bin. So as I fed more paper in to shred, the shredded stuff had no place to go but up, back into the cutters.

Umm hmm.  Your wife is exactly right as usual.  That's so perceptive of her. The machine must be defective.  And while you're at it she could probably use a hug. :hatsoff:

My appreciation for the universal scaler has reached the point that I'll likely include it as a must-have in future mods.

Though by the time I add it, plus my other must-haves (pliers, scissors, mag glass/inline Phillips layer), I nearly have a Champ. And the saw and metal file do come in handy occasionally.

Maybe I don't need to do another mod...
