So, let's say that for this challenge we'll include SAKs with 8 or more layers. For 60 days. So a Wenger Tool Chest would easily qualify.

Well...  I thought that was going to make it more interesting to me, but a CT41 only has 7 layers, even though it's basically the same size as a Swiss Champ.

Shucks.

I'm still considering this one, but 60 days would definitely be a challenge.

:twak:   Please, don't make me borrow magentus' motivation shovel.... It is a good thing you are joining in here!

:2tu:  I sometimes use a simple pocket dangler with the Swiss Champ.

(Image removed from quote.)

The loop gets place around my belt. It is short enough that the Swiss Champ hangs securely in the pocket from the belt. It doesn't pull on my pants pocket. I've found this to be a very comfortable and secure way to carry larger pocket knives, even a 130mm Ranger does well like this.
Excelent idea to carry the SC!

(No needs of U-boat shovel!)

Arghh, I still don’t qualify  :poh:

Why why why did I sell my Wenger Matterhorn Plus

Well at least this new rule improves my chances of finding something appropriate on eBay in time  :)

Ah, well....

True, not a budget-friendly SAK. But, quite a handful of tools.  ( And I love the pliers! Great for my small needs. Not so great for pulling the engine out of a Chevy truck, though.... )

FB -- you bring up an interesting point.......

I confess to being a bit myopic when setting up the challenge. I was focused on the Vic Swiss Champ--which was the multitool you and Barry were nattering on about in another thread.

However, I like your idea of opening the "Go Big" concept to other tools.

So, let's say that for this challenge we'll include SAKs with 8 or more layers. For 60 days. So a Wenger Tool Chest would easily qualify.

I've already given in to Lefty's request for tool switching during the challenge ( a practice I typically frown upon ), so we might as well open the challenge up to include Wenger equivalents.  :tu:

Thank you Nix. On that basis I’m in. My eligibility has unexpectedly gone up today by one Supertimer. It’d be rude not too

A few years ago I noted that, with Monday Oneday, Two Layer Tuesday, Four Layer Friday and Swiss Champ Sunday it was clear that the SAK Gods had ordained that as the week progressed a chaps trousers would be increasingly weighed down but would bounce back, if trousers do such a thing, at the start of every new week.

I'm thinking I should've ordered myself some reinforced trousers and Batmans Utility belt to hold them up. I guess I can manage for 60 days one handed if I go outdoors with, as the sailing saying has it ,"One hand for you, One hand for the boat" ....

I'm guessing that this beast is what Wenger called a Tool Chest?
This is one of exactly 3 Wengers, that I have.  My daughter's boyfriend gave it to me for Christmas, year before last, it was his and he said he never used it.   It's been put up on my dresser, till now.
10 layers with some kind of rubber scale inserts. Needs the tweezers but otherwise it's complete.   So someone enlighten me as to what ít is.
Don't really wanna use my Super Timer, for 60 days... 🙄

I don't know squat about Wenger as I've always favored Victorinox.

So I take a break from the internet, and find myself tempted by a 60 no wait 61 day Challenge

I'll just leave this here for now
