Day 22

Used the champ for cutting baler twine while rethreading the baler. Also to tighten a few clips on the rake. Too wet to cut hay but everything is ready.

Same. I've read the books a couple times, now. Great stories, great style.

Day 23

Deutsche Post delivery...another Swiss Champ! Now the dilemma, this is unused NIB and what appears to be an uncommon Marlboro Big Pack promo item. Before it landed, I was going to remove the logo and use it, now I think this is a little too special to use. I guess I will have to look for another Swiss Champ

Oooooh......that is a pretty cool Swiss Champ.

In general, I like to err on the side of using a tool. But....that one is pretty special.....

I feel so bad. After waiting almost a month for it to arrive, now I can't use it.  :bnghd:

I'm thinking of popping the scales off so I can archive these with the original box, and putting on some new scales to make it a user. I can always find a replacement SC of similar vintage if ever needed

OK, I capitulated. Scales came off easy after a hot water soak. I sometimes wish they had kept the solid scales - they just feel that little more....solid  :dunno:

I decided to go white for the scale swap. Something a little different. Now I can carry it  :salute:

Well done. I'd probably do the same. But that white looks so great, I'd end up keeping it stashed away...
