Alox Third-Party Exclusive Colors thread
on: July 11, 2021, 12:58:51 AM
Hello Alox fans! I've spent quite a bit trying to figure out which Alox models I can get in non-standard colors (typically White, Red, Black). I couldn't find a single place for this info, so was wondering if we could start a thread here. Main question is whether or not the forum rules would allow linking or just referencing vendors where these can be found. Is that allowed, or does it run afoul of the forum rules?

There is a company in Germany that commissioned several colors.

They had purple, bright green and an aqua blue.I can't recall the proper names of the colors but that's how the colors appear to me.

They also had the letter "S" placed on the handle.

SwissBianco had many colors that he commissioned from Vic.

Then there was Bugnard that had special gold colors.

I'm sure many more knowledgeable members will comment.

Cool! I'm going to dump all of the current exclusive color Alox I'm currently aware of (third-party branded) SAKs. Strikethru means it was recently available, but presently sold out (and perhaps no longer available):

Bantam

Black / Red @ KnifeCenter

Blue @ SwissKnifeShop

Cadet

Blue / Green / Pink @ DLT Trading

Farmer

Black @ CutleryShoppe

Farmer X

Black / Red @ KnifeCenter

Pioneer X

Black / Red @ KnifeCenter

Blue / Green @ Smokey Mountain KnifeWorks

Ooh... that Blue Electrician is calling to me. I think that's less common overall. Thanks for adding another!

I have two Farmer X from them, but hadn’t seen the electrician until I went over to see what else they had.  It does look nice.

I remember that Cutlery Shoppe had several really cool colors.

They had bright blue, orange, copper and olive green.

Cutlery Shoppe's website is confusing because most of their products appear out of stock and never to return. The only exclusive alox they appear to sell atm is Farmer in black.

I maintain a list of the Cadet colors. You can check it out in the Cadet Owner's Club:

Yes you are correct but they should have a record of what was available for your own information.

I have about 30 Alox duplicates of various colors. All are NIB.

I believe I have Cutlery Shoppes orange, blue, olive and copper Farmers.

I have Farmers from the German dealer which are purple, green and aqua.

I have one blue farmer with a red cross.

I may also have some Pioneers and Cadets in various colors as well.

If some of these interest you, then just send a PM to me.
