gerber curve

not sure if this should go in the keychain tools forum. Any love/hate for the curve?
I picked this up in an assorted small tool bin at the restore.
I love the quirky design- a tiny locking tool.Unfortunately, like a lot of Gerber stuff  it is let down with subpar materials IMO. The drivers twist under force and get chewed up easily but because of the soft steel, the blade took a wicked edge.
I would love to see another company ressurecting this

I have one, and I like it. The only real strike against it (that I can come up with) is that it can be difficult to remove it from my keyring. If your primary need for a multi is light-duty screwdrivers, and you occasionally use the file, blade, and cap lifter, it works really well.

Your photo gives the Curve a greenish cast. Was that a trick of the lighting, or do we have a new Curve variation to hunt down?

Yours is gray, which is the usual color for the Curve. Blue ones are out there, too. :hatsoff:

I actually really like the curve.  I think it is a remarkable little tool, packing an awful lot of function into a very tiny package.  There really aren't any other tools in that size range where all the functions lock, and that alone is pretty impressive.

I also think that the lines on it make it a very nice tool to look at, and comfortable to have in a pocket, with very few hard corners to poke you in places most people don't like to be poked in.

In addition to the blue and the grey there was another variant that I don't recall if it was produced or not.  It was a marketing version that didn't have that slot in the body so there was more room for putting a corporate logo on it.

I've had one for almost 15 years and it's still going strong. I keep it on a carabiner in my pack with a small flashlight and my Dime.

I've got a couple curves around the house and I like them also.  I wouldn't expect them to take a lot of torque on the screwdriver tools but for general tightening I like it.
