MINE CAME TODAY! got my video uploading now for a first look. So far I'm pleased, but only time will tell. Nothing appeared to be a issue, which is a miracle considering how bad the lockdown was. Also this turned out to be made in China not Taiwan which is a shame.

That's a shame indeed as the center drive was us built.  Although to be fair it's quality wasn't any better or worse than the Chinese MP series.

I am surprised to find myself reaching for the DUAL FORCE over most multitools recently..the pliers are the star here. The fact that the handles are close together matters way more than I thought.

Watched a few videos on the tool.  Since none actually used the tool I'm curious how y'all like it.

Some usage today:


Wrapping a ground wire around a ground screw


Removing the nuts from the base of a pole light


Replacing the pull rope for a lawn mower

The slip joint pliers are not the best for electrical work, but the Dual Force served me well today. I did miss having needlenose pliers this evening while replacing the pull rope, but otherwise they were quite useful today.

My experiences with Gerber and with Chinese MTs have been positive overall, so I personally was not deterred that they are made in China.

And my limited experience with the Dual Force has been very positive, but it only consists of carrying and using the MT for 3 or 4 days.

I do understand being cautious. It is somewhat expensive, and I imagine being an ocean away makes using the warranty a hassle.
