Day 8

I made a dump sheath for my Knipex pliers, but it is too big to go itself in a pouch or pocket. So I needed something smaller.
I discovered that the 6" Knipex tools fit perfectly in these narrow plastic sheaths, that come with blackhead removers.
These are the absolute minimum that is required. They are weigh nothing, add no bulk, and allow the pliers to go in a pocket or pouch, while keeping them closed, and prevent them from damaging anything.
The plier wrench is nice and smooth, but the Cobra head is a little more aggressive, with nasty corners, so the sheath will not last long. No biggy, I can re-enforce it with some duct tape or something.
I'm gonna get another one for my Cobra as well.
I trimmed the flap with the scissors to make the handles go past it to get it to close properly. Or I can just put the flap inside and have it open.

That's a very refined way of sharing the bag Nix. Good for you. Much more well heeled than the rest of us just splitting the bag right open   :hatsoff:

Been waiting on a package for over a week now .  Got as close as 25 miles then the post office sent it backwards to where it had come from.

I've used the large blade to cut foam too, and it's a great blade for the job. :tu:
Day 7.

My Parting Glass salute to Geneal Yeager. In other News ... cut some foam to protect a watch face in its box.

Day 08: Cutting some home made cinnamon bread with the large blade.  Not an Opinel, but it gets the job done.

Day 8

Opening a box with the orange peeler. It's well suited for the job, but unless you have to cut the cardboard itself it has no real advantage over the (small) blade.

The problem with the orange peeler is that although you can use it for a multitude of tasks, it does not seem essential for any. Even peeling an orange might just as well be accomplished with the blade. The only thing I can do with the orange peeler which I cannot do with any of the other implements is opening a bottle, which was probably the last thing on Vic's mind when they designed the tool.

The advantage that the orange peeler has over the blade for peeling an orange is that it has just the right depth to peel the orange with out cutting into the orange itself.......You can zip the orange peeler quickly around the orange and not have the juice leaking out, :D

Oh, now you have me hungry for some cinnamon bread.

We had a banana bread with chocolate chips a couple weeks ago. It's no longer on the counter, but it has disappeared entirely either, if you know what I mean.

Ok, I will admit it's better than a normal blade in this case. Too bad there never seems to be an orange around when I am carrying the Executive.  ;)

Rather unexcitingly, no cinnamon bread, no refined snack presentation just opening some new printer ink cartridges. Ah well, can't be"rock and roll" all the time eh?

Cutting some vent holes in the r/c tires. Small blade worked a charm.
