 Nice collection. I reckon I have as many if I gathered them from everywhere. I like to have a tape measure quick to hand when I need one.

Nice selection.  I have a few as well.  It was annoying to be looking for one when I could just as easily add one or 2 around the house.  I also picked up a small purse size one for my partner.  She uses it a lot when she's out buying for her crafting.  I also have a reel type one thats 100 or 200 ft  .  Thats actually came in handy a few times.

Like most I have been burned by what I thought I knew.   With current lumber and pipe prices it pays to be careful.

A few were gifts. Most of these were picked up at Estate and yard sales.  No more than $2 or $3 for any of them .  Many of them were $1. Any time I see a Stanley Powerlock in good shape for $3 or less I usually buy it.

Added a couple of new ones today.  First one is a Stanley Defiance No. 1260. Six foot tape
Measure. I like the chevron/wings around the center.

Next up is an Atlantic White Tape.   8 foot half inch tape.  Weird size.

The weird flat oval one had a Mastercraft label on it. The larger black and yellow above it is also a laser level. The two in leather sheaths are ones that my father used on the construction site. Being a Plummer/Steamfitter in Ontario, you had to supply your own measuring tape along with a few other tools. The bigger orange one is a Benchmark, and the top one is a Lufkin.

A small contribution to this thread.

This is one I have in my small tool pouch. It's a few decades old, it was a keychain first. Took out the keyring and added some paracord.

Metric and imperial, 100cm - 39 3/8in, made in Hong-Kong.
