I think it will. My wife said that it does not take long for the ointment to work. After tomorrow he should be able to go back to daycare.

Time to resurrect this thread! I’m surprised that there isn’t more love for the Curl. To me it seems like the perfect bridge between the Sidekick/Wingman and the Wave. It’s light, comfortable to use and wear, and has (in my opinion) a better selection of internal tools than the Wave/Charge. As soon as I replaced my Curl’s file with a wood saw, it became my default multitool and relegated my Wave+ to my backpack.
Current SAKs: Explorer, SwissChamp, Handyman (modded), Climber, Super Tinker, Tinker, Woodsman (modded), Electrician, Pioneer, SwissTool, Executive, Ambassador, Champion Plus
Current Leatherman tools: PST, Original Wave, Wave, Wave+, Blast, Bond, Curl, Style PS, Micra

Great pics Poncho  :tu:   One of these days I need to finish my Curl mod so I can start carrying it again.  It's still in my garage partially disassembled  :-[

Has anybody figured out a way to store an extra bit on the tool? I can find stuff for the wave, but I'm unsure if it'll be compatible with the curl.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you post pictures of the wave stuff?

Sure! I found the image in this thread about storing an extra bit. https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,87867.msg2275565.html#msg2275565

Unfortunately it seems that the user who designed the add on never finished a revision they were happy with and hasn't posted in over a year.

Currently I am considering storing the bit under the file, but this is obviously not ideal for reasons the pictures will show.

Thanks nakken :hatsoff: the toolset is very great and I try to carry it occasionally but if I have one of my Charge Knives with me then most of the toolset is redundent :ahhh :D

I do try and carry it and an Executive some and that combo works out very well though :woohoo:

G'Day,

I'm looking at getting one of these. I would like some opinions, maybe "reviews" of inmates here that use theirs on a daily basis. In Oz they are not cheap, and I want to be sure that it will be a user.

Yes, I know the MT.O way is to just get one. It needs to be one heck of a tool to displace the OHT Spirit on my belt  ;)

Cheers, Pete

I have been carrying the Curl almost everyday at work.  It is just a little lighter and a little thinner than the Wave.  I never used the saw or serrated blade on the Wave so when the Curl came out I jumped on it.  Having the removeable pocket clip included was just icing on the cake.  The inside tools are non locking so if you need to put heavy torque with the drivers I would advise to steer clear but I need only mild torque for maintenance or repair.  I would say that form and function it falls somewhere between the original Wave and the 2nd Gen Wave, less complicated movement with modern tools.  If you need the replaceable cutters on your tool I would also steer clear of this model.  I must admit that I am a bit on the nostalgic side so the tool appeals to me.  Out of curiosity how bad is the markup in your part of the world?  Hope this was of some help.

G'Day Tsquare

Thank you for your thoughts it does help with my decision. I think I'll order one, if it does not live up to my needs, I'll pass it on to a more deserving friend.

The best price I can get is Oz$150, about USD95 and includes the clip and a nylon sheath.

Cheers, Pete
