Thanks. Do you know what year they changed them?
There are identifiable changes pretty much every year. Some years, more frequently than that. Assuming I’m understanding your question correctly.
I am asking, what year did they add the pliers and take off the fish scaler?
Here is an example of what 2.5mm pliers look like.
Ah!Around ‘86, maybe ‘87. I’ve only found ones that look ‘87 and later. Unlike Champs, where I have lots of ‘86s. Either of these are ‘easy’ to ID with the 2.5mm pliers which appear ‘flush’ when closed.
SAKWiki is pretty clear on the model and when the pliers came in: https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Victorinox+Handyman
Some more photos for those that might be interested.

It’s pretty clear, but I think ‘86 is probably wrong. There’s clear proof in production that pliers went into Champs before the end of ‘86. Enough are around to prove it. I have not found that to be the case for either Craftsman or Handyman models.
Do I use it? Of course, I started it with Grant, who is one of my best friends.
Do I know you?Def
