Hello guys

Please help me identify this print (a forgesmith, a flying eagle, "SWISS ARMY VICTORINOX and a Huntsman or Mountaineer SAK) to the rear scale of a Champion C.
I have seen this print in the past, basically to thinner SAK's, but really never knew what they referred to or why this and the other  VIC's come with such a print (Publicity? LE? A dealer stamp?).

Your feedback shall be strongly appreciated!

Does it have the regular logo on the front?

Often when you see markings like that it is for markets where crosses are generally no appreciated.

Hello Def. Thank you. The front scale is a regular one, as pictured below.

I think awl of them are used by Victorinox. I have a belt buckle from them with the same eagle design. Maybe a special edition scale, with their logos?

Nice SAK, BTW.

I haven’t seen that in a back scale or on a large knife. The one I have is on the front and is an early ‘90s example.

If you post more pics, it would be nice to see when yours was produced. Likely from the same timeframe.

Interesting.  That eagle logo is what is used on all of the Victorinox/Forschner knives.

I believe the whole combined arrangement of these individual symbols started with the 1984 / 100th anniversary as seen in the LE knives with the detailed stainless inlays. They are essentially the same as this printed knife, but the ‘SWISS’ and ‘ARMY’ replaced the 1884/1984 respectively. My suspicion is the SWISS/ARMY versions were used after the ‘84 anniversary hoopla, and might have remained in use until the ‘97 anniversary and associated LEs.

Looks like it is on the back of my Huntsman!

Pictured next to an ‘84 Anniversary Champion and something I recycled on one of my mods.
