I post a lot of sharp things, but how do I keep them sharp?  I'd say well over 90% of my sharpening is done with one of these- dog bone sharpeners from Lansky and Gatco.

A Champion C, given to me by my grandfather for my 12th bday, all because I saw him sharpening up his with that mini steel when I was 10 and asked him for one, he then said “well, I’ll get you one when you turn 12 for your bday” the longest 2yrs of my life! Of course I had to lose it in the woods, but then found it a whole year later, yet then broke the corkscrew by screwing it in a tree branch, but after he had passed I got his original sak, and I had the corkscrew removed and mine fixed so a little part of him stays with it, I also had his scales made into a little something custom since he engraved his by hand, sloppy but it was his work and our last name! And that sits with the collection! And he also didn’t get me the sheath with the steel so I was mad, needless to say when I got his I retired mine in his sheath, of course it was missing the steel, so I ordered a new one to make it complete.. sorry it was the best pic I had..

Essentially the bigger brother to Gerber's Flik model, the Freehand is a massive handful with a lot of very cool features.  Unfortunately, like the Flik, it was short lived due largely to an overly complex plier system.

Some say its ugly, but I think it is one beautiful blade, and it was one of my white whales!  Unfortunately as I'm in Canada and it's February, it's going to be a while before this Spyderco Caspian Salt can prove itself where it's meant to be, in or on the water!

I honestly figured that the Benchmade and this Spyderco were going to be the difficult finds, but I managed to get very lucky with each of them!

Now all I need is a green Gerber River Shorty and I'll have all ofbthe paddling/snorkeling knives on my list!

Well you asked, and the story is there for everyone! Sometimes specific knives have a lot of value even if they have no cost value! Yeah it hurt to have his taken apart, but a part will always live on not only in my fist Sak that he gave me, but also as a part in my first custom, and the two scales glued together with a piece of stained wood between, where I can see our last name he carved on the one scale along with my other knives..

This tiny tool has several interesting features including a multi wrench, bike spoke wrench, wire stripper, protractor, small ruler (Metric and Imperial), but is probably best known for the hole going through it, allowing it to function as a pipe for those who partake.

I bought a Geekey for my wife who doesn’t usually carry anything more than a Rambler. 

She thought it was really interesting with all the things it can do.  She really enjoys having it and showing it off now.

That Spyderco fixed blade is pretty sweet looking.  Never seen that one before.

I think I got this one a year or so ago.  I'm pretty sure someone would be very upset with this one if they'd purchased it for its intended purpose.  You'd need to be able to suck start a Harley to get anything from it- the hole is remarkably tiny.

The Leatherman Leap is one of those understated, underrated tools.  Yeah, it's meant for kids, comes in a bunch of colors and has a blade that you install when they are ready, but it's also a Leatherman, so it's ready (and able!) to work!
