Day 31:
And to restart a "normal life" after the challenge, I'll take my Juice S2 and my custom Vic TrailGuide for tomorrow's travel  :hatsoff:

Day 31, because why the heck not? Good thing I kept my original header parts, because I had to assemble a new header graphic for day 31!

I know I touched on this a couple posts ago, but around the house, no multitools wasn't really an issue, because my tools are all within easy reach. At work, however, it meant never immediately having access to super-basic tools (notably screwdrivers) unless I wanted stuffed pockets. During outdoorsy pursuits it was even worse, because stopping is death.

The multi-driver will continue to hold its position as most-used tool in my tool bag, because it's a marvellous animal. The Ladybug will stay in my pocket because I had no idea how handy a tiny slicer would be. The Pliers Wrench will be in-pocket if I'm carrying a plier-free tool, like my Farmer X or a Huntsman or whatever, and another will live in my bicycle tool roll, because sometimes you need a pinchy. The scissors will definitely be going into a drawer; it's just too handy having them built into a tool with a proper handle, and I'm not interested in carrying larger scissors on their own.

Team did good.

These items covered most of my bases all month, except when I needed more specialized tools (bike stuff, kitchen demolition, etc.) I'll be back to carrying a Swiss Army Knife or Leatherman most days — not because I can't get by with dedicated tools, but to lighten the load. Besides, my life just seems to move faster with a multitool in my pocket.

Same here

btw, I weighed the Juice S2 (124g) not bad instead of 150g with CobraXS + Diagonal cutters I usually carry (with their respective leather sheath) quite a weight loss... but at the beginning I was replacing a Vic Spirit XC with the Knipex combo  ::)

Things will go that way now:
all-purpose EDC : Vic Spirit or Wave/Charge + complete Vic bit kit + "real" dedicated knife (e.g.: BM minigrip)
Urbain EDC : Cobra XS + Diagonal cutters (better than any MT scavenge power cords and such in trashed appliances !) + LM Wave's diamond file + complete Vic bit kit + "real" dedicated knife
'ligth' EDC (1-2 days work travel) : LM Juice S2 + reduced Vic bit kit (or no kit) + Vic TrailGuide (mostly for blade and file)

Thank you!

I like challenges in which we have to try something unusual (well, unusual for here, anyway.)

Thanks Poncho :tu:

:iagree: with Jothra, these type of challenges let you think differently about what you carry

As I’ve discovered over a few challenges 80% of the time I really just need a blade but I feel a bit naked without the other tools for that other 20%

I agree!  I just need a blade around 80% of the time, but if I carry just a blade, there is 100% chance that I will need another tool!   :ahhh
