Scratches all over brand new knives?

I bought two Swiss Army knives for me and my dad and they both have scratch marks all over right out of the box?

Hey Marcus,

if you mean the rough edges on the liners then that's normal from my experiences.
They're simply stamped out.

Post your pocket dump photos then challenge two more members who must post their pocket dump photos within 24hrs for you to get the badge. Start a new thread and post a photo of the modified sak (scale swap not included) for thirty (30) consecutive days. I've gotten a few brand-new SAKs that had little blemishes on their Cellidor scales. As long as they're functional and not uncomfortable to use, they should be A-OK as users.

Yep, that's how the edged of the liners have always been on SAK's  ;)

Well, at least since the ‘90s. They were mostly  anodized after stamping before that. Elinox and Economy lines being the general exception. It just looked better/cleaner than they do now. Now they just anodize one.  :(
