                         Day 5

Lighter duty for the Rebar today. Wasn't doing any building or repairing so it just helped with the breakfast

Later as I was reading a book I stumbled across two pages that the machine in the factory did not cut entirely. Found it a bit strange because it means I'm the first one reading it - it's printed in the 80s and I bought it on a used book stand for about a $1.20. And it looks like it has some wear. Come to think about it - I don't really enjoy reading it so whoever belonged to previously probably discarded it after the first 10-20 pages. But it is one of the big names in literature so it might just be a bad translation. :dunno: Anyway

In the evening I used the serrated edge to cut some bread. Works great, considering the size of it.

Day 5

Today, I'm going to try using a small rare earth magnet to keep the suspension clip away from the blade.  If I like it, I'll superglue it to the clip.

Day 05

Planting Romanian Red Garlc today.Used the Rebar to help seperate the cloves of garlic out of the garlic bulbs. The knives I like to use in the garden had to look on and supervise to make sure the Rebar got it done properly.    :D

Yes the GEC Hay-N- Helper has a pen blade also. It's the one with the red lanyard.

Day 6

December 6

Nothing much today for the Rebar.  Mostly arts-n-crafts.

The scissors I attached to the Rebar are my first ‘small Leatherman scissors’ as I have never owned a Wave nor Charge.  All I can say is they cannot cut fabric properly.  Took a lot of snips on that orange string before it got thru.  I thought something was wrong with the scissors but I think it’s just the nature of the beast.  It needs to cut something rigid (like paper) to cut well. For thread, string, pants’ drawstring, just go with SAK scissors or the blades.

                                                 Day 6

The bathroom sink had gritty action on the faucet so I took it apart to see what's up. Thought it would be a fun thing to do with the Rebar, but it only helped remove the cap. The rest of the work needed dedicated tools. Couldn't really see anything wrong but taking it apart and putting it back together seemed to do the trick  :D

Then I was doing some repairs in the shed and needed few small, almost random sized pieces of wood. Used the Rebar for rough measurement (I know the ruler's end is not even with the piece on the picture  :pok:) and then to cut them. Later used the file to put a rough edge on an old butter knife I use for all kinds of dirty work in the garden. It did much better than expected.
