Use a SAK, or similar, and there's even a badge in it for you.  :D

My daughter and I are very old school when it comes to pumpkins.  Some variety of simple eyes, nose and toothy grin are our go-to design.  The fish-scaler on my Champion really does make a good cutter.

I posted these earlier in the Spirit thread. I brought just about everything I had with a fish scaler to a pumpkin carving party at camp.

The left hand "face" pumpkin was done exclusively using multitools/pocket knives. The one on the right was mostly my wife's, and she used the saw that came in the little kit for part of it.

A 4” Victorinox paring knife and stainless steel basting spoon are my tools of choice.  I can typically carve a pumpkin in about 20 minutes.

Great job Nate.  We use a pumpkin saw (that really is like a Vic fishscaler).  Never the neatest of things but it is quick.  I do have a particular serving spoon that guts a pumpkin in no time at all.  >:D
