Thanks guys. I just emailed Tim. I'll try and keep my fingers crossed till he replies (although that sounds somewhat tiring in the long run... :P)

Thanks Ben. I should have posted it here in the first place myself.

Congratulations!

Be careful of the black coating though- Vic was experimenting with different coatings at the time and the batch that turned into the SOSAK KOTY knives was especially bad and wears off very easily- even with mild handling and/or washing.

Leave the dents as they are- let your belongings show their scars as proudly as you do yours.

Yup, noticed that. It looks more like a patina than a coating... Still, this is destined to be a user, so wear is totally acceptable (and expected). Thanks for the hint.

You may want to reconsider it as a carry knife as the printing on the scale will wear off.

Hmmm... That changes things indeed. OTOH if I do decide to not carry this around it will be my first "queen" so far and that feels somewhat strange/wrong... :-\ OTOOH a SOSAK KOTY is a good candidate for my first shelf queen, so I'll have to ponder over this. BTW did I mention how positively surprised were I by the OHT? This is my first OHT (and first 111mm Vic at that) and it feels quite small compared to what I had in mind. The reverse liner lock is my only concern; this looks like an accident waiting to happen if you're used to closing the blade one-handed. Other than that, I've instantly fallen for this SAK.
