Hi All,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find what I need in the search or on the web and I'm not too clued up on US measurements (not from that continent!)
I've managed to get my centre drive apart to get some measurements for a mod I'm planning and would like to replace the screws with something I can get on/off easily. My calipers are telling me it's too small for M3 (sticking one in the 'nut' side confirms this) and too big for a M2.5 (sausage in a hallway scenario) - internet tells me it might be a #4 machine screw, which I've come to the conculsion should be a #4-40 screw. However I'm also a little confused over thread types and have also assumed it's a UNC thread.
The only other US product I can find is my Leatherman MUT (on the chooping block soon for a mod or two) and have found that the belt clip screws fit perfectly, or at least appear to. I believe it's an earlier model MUT as I would have bought it around 2012 and it has the titanium clip and gripless needlenose pliers.
Can anyone confirm my assumptions are correct? or chime in if you've replaced these screws before
This forum got me excited about multi-tools again and made me dig out my MUT and buy the CD just to mod them!
