You can count me among them. I've used the tip of the small blade to dig out more splinters than I can remember, since the standard Vic tweezers are too square and blunt to do their job well.

My best splinter remover is the main clip point blade on a Wenger Evo 14 Soft Touch. The blade is super sharp and tip of blade super pointed. Works great picking splinters out of skin. I should try it with the Vic pen blade.
