I'd been debating a pair of the 125s for some time, as I kept finding situations where the Vic SAK pliers just weren't big enough, although most PBMTs would likely have also struggled.
I decided to test the water with the more pocket-friendly 100mm version:

Congrats, let us know how you're getting on with it  :tu:
I've just used one for the gif above in my reply to  m47mu74nt  :D

You will most likely find that the 100mm is extremely capable and sufficient for your uses... and end up getting the 125 anyway (and then the 180, the 250...)

Nice one Tasky, I am having a hard time deciding whether to get a 125mm or 100mm. Keep us posted :tu:

I have both sizes (it's the MTO way, right ?) but I find the 100mm is just too small to use comfortably, so prefer the 125s.  I have large hands, but my missus prefers the 100 so she now has custody (she has smaller hands).

That is what I have heard too. I have fairly large hands, plus the 125 is cheaper. Thanks!

Yeah, don't sweat it.  Get the one today that you like the best.  Some time later, add another one.  Before you know it, you'll have way too many.

Deciding which one to pocket carry can be difficult.  The Pliers Wrench is grippier on fasteners and doesn't chew them up, but the Cobra is a better all-around grabber. Dang it!

Well..... they suck, if I'm brutally honest.

So often I've found the need for pliers over the past 8 months and these have fit the role very nicely, but with the one INFURIATING factor of being one-way!!!
The amount of times I've juuuuuuuust managed to fit the jaws to task, only to find they simply slip on the work and I have no room to fit them on the other way has had me livid. I know they're meant specifically for plumbing and have the smooth edge to facilitate a sort of ratcheting action, but that just halves the number of situations in which they can be used.

I'll still carry them, but only until I find something better that lets me push and pull however I require.

Tiny spaces are the worst indeed. Sometimes I wonder what people were thinking when then designed certain stuff. Hydraulic manifolds have driven me beyond crazy more than once. One was made so tight that only the end ones could be removed. Thus to remove one in the center you had to remove all the ones above just to get tooling attached. Evil madness! (And that was even specially bought narrow tooling).

Then there was this old car where I tried to change some component deep down in the engine. The bolts were stuck on the engine side, and the component had holes. However after removing the nuts I realized that the component didn't have space to slide off the bolts. The entire engine would have to be taken out to make enough space...

But I've found lots of uses for the plier wrenches, so while not suited for all things they are great at what they do - if you need that :)
